FOOD EXPLORER PROGRAM
Be a creator and explorer in the Classroom of the Future’s unique learning expedition with this year’s theme: Fantastic Islands of Learning.
Explore a variety of Indonesian cooking, spices & ingredients and gain practical cooking knowledge guided by master chefs, while learning about nutrition and sustainability in the Food Explorer program.
Hand in hand with the development in technology, students will have first hand experience in filming and documenting the cooking experience using multimedia technology for creative online journalism. The Food Explorer program is also running during weekend and is open for any kid and young adult.
Not only that, there are other Classroom of the Future’s programs:
Underwaterworld Explorer
Experts and our technology partners will guide students in exploring, collecting and analyzing different aspects of marine ecosystem, including coral reefs, sea creatures and microorganisms using cutting edge technology in active learning.
Sound & Music Explorer
Different methods such as directing, recording and storytelling are used for the explorers to create audio stories using musical instruments and rich sounds from Indonesia. Our technology partner from the TV industry and experts such as sound engineer and illustrator will share insights and practical knowledge in this exciting experience.
Arts and Creativity Explorer
Divided into several themes, Arts and Creativity will explore Indonesian arts such as the handcrafted Batik and other designs. Students will be able to channel their creativity in combining the traditional crafts with modern design methods.
Young Journalists Explorer
As an umbrella program, students will take a role as reporters in developing digital documentation in sharing their ideas through creative techniques such as filmmaking, photography, Student TV, comics/drawings, social media, story telling, eBook creation, coding & making, and 3D printing.
This daily program will take place at the Classroom of the Future’s booth in Hall 4.2 A86, the special Food Explorer kitchen at the Gourmet Gallery in Hall 3.1, the Indonesian Guest of Honour Pavilion and the entire fairground of the Frankfurt Book Fair.

GOURMET GALLERY HALL 3.1Explore a variety of Indonesian cooking, spices, and ingredients from 14 October until 18 October from 9:00-17:00. Gain practical cooking knowledge guided by master chefs and learn about nutrition and sustainability. The Food Explorer program is open for children and young adults from 12-18 years old. It also runs during the weekend.
